Helping Producers to Manage the Developing Global Agenda Around the Repairability of Electronics

Markets and legislators worldwide have increasing expectations around the right to repair and related “material efficiency” requirements for electronics.

This webinar, presented by Jonathan D. Cocker of Baker McKenzie and Dr. Richard Peagam of Anthesis, will outline the requirements for producers and options to respond as the agenda grows.

Jonathan D. Cocker heads Baker McKenzie’s Environmental Practice Group in Canada and is an active member of the firm’s Global Consumer Goods & Retail, and Energy, Mining and Infrastructure groups.

Jonathan provides advice and representation to multinational companies on a variety of environmental and product compliance matters, including extended producer responsibilities, dangerous goods transportation, GHS, regulated wastes, consumer product and food safety, and contaminated lands matters. He assisted in the founding of one of North America’s first Circular Economy Producer Responsibility Organizations and provides advice and representation to a number of domestic and international industry groups in respect of resource recovery obligations. Jonathan was recently appointed the first Sustainability Officer of the International Bar Association.

Jonathan is a frequent speaker and writer on environmental issues and has authored numerous publications.

Richard leads on producer responsibility at Anthesis and is a leading expert on the circular economy, product takeback and sustainability in the technology sector.

Richard began his career at a multinational IT manufacturer, before becoming a consultant in 2012. Clients include some of the largest technology companies in the world, key players in the minerals and extractives sectors, market leaders in FMCG and retail and national governments.
